-"...a soft, introspective composition that allowed
the band to truly show off their skills. There's an epic crescendo in
the middle that literally made me drop everything else I was doing at
the moment."
-"...Their
full-length album is something to look forward to and besides, the guys
never disappoint during a live show. The energy, effort and commitment
they afford their fans speaks for itself. Check them out."
-Michelle Iglesias, Indie Music Press
Variety Show (2009)
"Nice melodies. Great songwriting."
-Graham Colton
"Twilight Broadcast is an adventurous band. Fun. Bizarre. Totally worth checking out."
-Rhett Miller (Old 97's)
"At first listen, TB's new release lets you know right away of their love for
sonic depth in the intro and instantly flip it with the first track "0100".
Love to hear bands who mix organic with digital.
Also nice to hear cats change the feel right out of the gate, which they do
well with "Enjoying the Blue"... dirty blues riffs and a phat sax vibe.
I
would guess these guys get bored quickly with the same vibe throughout one
record... nicely done guys, stay diverse.
Bluegrassy harmonies on "Truth Speaks", what sounds like a rebirth tale in "Out on a Ledge", and finding away to move on in "April's Leaving" for the
three stories on the relaxed side of the rollercoaster.
Diggin the man behind the kit on "To Far Gone" and I think this is when the
vocals really open up on the record also. Actually the whole band seems to
venture out quite a bit more on this track which kept me very interested...
sounds like a single to me and the Simon and Garfunkle harmonies at the
resolve were rockin, at least as rockin as you can get with S&G like
harmonies.
Bass man, guitar man, and drums funk it up just in time to make me keep the
cans on with "Babs". These cats are not sad love stories and girly shit
throughout and this ones good to increase your stride with guys.
P.S. ... were sexy too and care free.... at least that's the vibe of the
next track "54321". Super sexy I would say when guitar man "Johnny
Langs"
the intro to "Social Plans and One Night Stands". Acoustic harmonics and solid guitar rhythm kept my cans on again with "Two
Graves". "Vital Signs" built some cool tension for leading into an
unexpected soft-tronic like outro.
Long story short, except you just read the long story so now it's a long
story longer. I dug it and will definitely venture out to see them live.
Great freshmen effort ladies and gentlemen and look to see more from these
cats. Great to hear more than 10 tracks on a record, hope this continues on
the next one.
You're in Austin, TX people, might as well see why its called the "live
music capitol of the world". Right well, I recommend a "Twilight
Broadcast"
show."
Jeremy Nail and the Incidents are in the midst of mixing a brand new EP (to be named)!!!
The EP will serve as a teaser for the new album they're in the process of cookin' up. Stay tuned for details.
Letter (2007)
"Veering fron jangly to anthemic, Jeremy Nail's debut, Letter, is a
diverse, gripping listen, one that's centered around his ability to
capture waking moments with intensity. An all-star cast of
accompanists, including producer/bassist Mark Addison and drummer Joey
Shuffield, assures that Nail's visions take shape with a
self-confidence by a local singer-songwriter that hasn't been displayed
on a first effort since Jeff Klein."
